After a lengthy absence, Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is back. Unfortunately for Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons, Wall announced his return at his expense. Here’s Wall erasing pretty boy Parsons' baseline dunk attempt during Wednesday’s ball game.

Wall sat out the Wizards’ previous nine games because of a knee injury, so he must be very pumped up playing in his first game in a while.

Wall would finish the game with 13 points and four assists to go with a fine job on the defensive end, getting two steals and that block off Parsons in 28 minutes of action.

Washington prevailed in the matchup, too, 93-87, to get back in the win column after back-to-back losses to the L.A. Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets.

It’s good news for Washington to see Wall back and playing great right out of the gate, as the Wizards are going to need him a lot to keep the team inside the playoff picture in the suddenly competitive Eastern Conference.

Thus far this season, the former No. 1 overall pick is averaging 19.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and a team-best 8.9 assists per game.

Wall and the Wizards aim to sustain their momentum as they get a rematch with the Clippers at home this Friday.
