Twitch streamer xQc says that Youtuber Ludwig is “just malding” over the former's comments on Twitch's current meta.

On a January 2 broadcast, Ludwig Ahgren commented that the new trend over at Twitch where streamers watch TV shows with their audience while on stream is harmful to the industry and could lead to a catastrophe. In a video titled “React Streamers have gone too far”, Ludwig criticized a couple of big-time Twitch streamers, which included xQc.

xQc, who regularly watches MasterChef with his fans, brushed away Ludwig's comments. “I think he's just malding,” says xQc, who then said that maybe Ludwig just regrets moving from Twitch to Youtube. xQc claims that Ludwig's comments come out of resentment since he cannot do on Youtube the things they do on Twitch.  Ludwig has just recently moved platforms in November last year and has since amassed a following of 2.5 million subscribers.

While xQc was quick to dismiss Ludwig's comments, the newly-minted Youtuber does raise an interesting point. DMCA takedowns have been one of the biggest concerns of Twitch personalities in recent years. Showing licensed shows and films on their live streams is inviting danger. But Twitch content creators have to keep on reinventing their content as competition on the platform becomes more and more intense. At the very least, these are far more entertaining than hot tub streaming.
