Mike Trout and Yordan Alvarez are tied for second with 12 bombs to their credit. Judge is also fourth in MLB in RBIs, first in slugging percentage, second in OPS, and second in runs scored. Yankees ace Gerrit Cole did his best to breakdown why Aaron Judge is such a talented hitter.

“Sometimes I feel like he’s salivating for something, gets it, and drills it,” Cole stated. “And sometimes I feel like he’s just being a good baseball player, staying up the middle, and drills it the same way. Not all the things are going his way; he’s not looking for slug all the time. He’s just putting better swings than guys are throwing. He’s just — better.”

The way Gerrit Cole caps off his statement is perfect. He says Judge is “just better.” That truly has been the case this season. Judge's stats are through the roof for the Yankees. He will undoubtedly find himself in the midst of the AL MVP conversation if he continues to rake like he has.
