There are just a few days left until the NFL Trade Deadline on Nov. 2. Let's take a look at the two best trades the Los Angeles Rams should consider ahead of the deadline.

LA is 6-1 on the season and is in second place in the NFC West division. It doesn't seem like this team is going to slow down anytime soon. If they go out and add one or a few players ahead of the deadline then they would have a real good chance to contend come playoffs. They will likely make the playoffs anyway but adding extra depth always benefits a team.

The Rams are one of the more complete teams in the NFL. They don't necessarily need to improve their roster to feel like they need to compete. The roster they have now is pretty stacked at just about every position. There are some positions, however, that could use a veteran to come in and take over.

Rams NFL Trade Deadline

Darius Slay

The current Philadelphia Eagles cornerback would be a great fit in Los Angeles. He has two years left on his deal so the price tag would be high, but nothing the Rams wouldn't do to get it done. The Rams traded away two future first-round picks to the Lions for QB Matt Stafford. That tells us two things, one, that the Rams aren't afraid to get a deal done. And two, If the Rams were to pull the trigger on Slay, then they would be risking the future to win now. That is the biggest reason why general managers are hesitant to get a deal done. They don’t want to ruin the possibility of a great future. Sometimes you must risk it to put yourself in a better position now. I think that is what the Rams are going to do.

Slay is one of the elite corners in the league. The Rams already contain arguably the top corner in the NFL in Jalen Ramsey, so bringing in Slay would form the best duo in the league. It would be very tough for opposing offenses to have a successful pass game against that secondary. LA added corner Darious Williams to the IR a few weeks ago, so this team is in need of a corner. Slay plays outside a majority of the time but can slide into the slot as well.

Desmond King

King is a great candidate to be traded ahead of the NFL Trade Deadline. The Houston Texans are likely to be sellers and have already traded away running back Mark Ingram to the New Orleans Saints. King is one of the best slot corners in the league and will be a free agent at the end of the season. His price tag won't be high at all. He was already traded once in his career when the Los Angeles Chargers traded him to the Tennessee Titans in 2019.

King would give the Rams an elite slot corner to play next to Ramsey. Adding King to the mix would benefit the entire defense. It's already considered the top defenses in the league and adding King would put them over the top. It also wouldn't be the first time King played in LA, it would be familiar territory for him.
