The NFC North should be an interesting division this season. The Green Bay Packers are up in the air with Aaron Rodgers and the Detroit Lions are rebuilding. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings are shaping up to be a potential playoff team, and the Chicago Bears have the pieces to make some noise this year.

We'll see how the Bears do with Andy Dalton under center. The front office selected Justin Fields in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but he's more in their plans for the future. Even so, there is a chance we see Fields play this year, as he's an exciting rookie with all of the potential in the world. However, the rest of the roster is stacking up nicely and could make for a tough team this coming up season.

The front office has built a decent squad heading into the 2021 NFL season. They're stacked with young talent who is primed to make an impact soon, while also have a good amount of veteran leaders as well. It's a nice pool of athletes the Bears have acquired and it could pay off for this franchise very soon.

The defense looks sharp and should be at full force with Khalil Mack leading the way. The offense has a few choice weapons in Allen Robinson and David Montgomery, but they'll need some other players to step up. The passing attack could be much improved over last year, as two players could emerge as major contributors. With that said, here are two sleepers on the Bears roster.

Darnell Mooney

Darnell Mooney had an underrated rookie campaign in 2020. He finished with 61 receptions, 631 yards, and four touchdowns. Mooney broke the franchise record of most receptions for a rookie receiver, meaning he should be in for a much improved season. Mitchell Trubisky struggled to get the ball to his targets. The bad quarterback play prevented Mooney from having an even bigger impact in his rookie year.

Now, with a season under his belt and a full training camp ahead of him, Mooney should develop into a top target on the Bears' offense. Regardless of who is under center, Mooney has the potential to grow into a star in this league. Playing alongside Allen Robinson certainly helps, but Mooney could be the next big thing coming out of Chicago.

Cole Kmet

Last year it felt like the Bears had 100 tight ends on the roster, making it tough for a prospect like Cole Kmet to shine. However, he could be in line for a big season in the second year of his career. It shouldn't be too difficult for him to improve off of his rookie year, as Kmet finished with just 28 receptions, 243 yards, and two touchdowns.

He'll have to beat out Jimmy Graham for playing time though, as the veteran doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Even so, Kmet is the younger, more exciting prospect who flashed potential in 2020. He could be a consistent target for Andy Dalton or Justin Fields for that matter. At 6-6, Cole Kmet should be looked at in the red zone frequently, as has the size mismatch over most defenders in the league.
