It's a crucial time to focus on your fantasy football rosters as the playoffs are looming. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown of the wide receiver position.

This is a tricky week for receivers. Many of the elite WRs that are going to produce no matter what are facing favorable matchups in Week 12. The six guys we are focusing on this week could really make or break your team. With that being said, let's take a look at who fantasy football owners should consider starting or benching for Week 12.

Fantasy Football Week 12 Start ‘Em

DK Metcalf – Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf started out 2021 with a bang until the injury to Russell Wilson. Even then, he still managed to play well enough to produce solid fantasy production. The last two games didn't go so well though but it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Metcalf and Wilson will bounce right back because they are a force to be reckoned with.

Metcalf with face the 31st ranked Washington Football Team on Monday Night Football. This should allow for a dominant game and should be started no matter what, not that he isn't already in your lineup.

Jaylen Waddle – Miami Dolphins

Waddle leads all rookies in receptions this season. Tua Tagovialoa loves to target Waddle as they were former teammates at Alabama. Over Waddle's last six games, he has 57 targets which are resulting in solid fantasy value. He faces a difficult matchup in Week 12, however.

The Carolina Panthers rank 4th against opposing receivers. Despite the dominant defense, I still expect Waddle to play well and earn your fantasy team solid production. If you have the chance to start him I would consider it.

Michael Gallup – Dallas Cowboys

Michael Gallup makes his debut on this list with the absences to Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb. Cooper is on the covid-19 list and will miss Thursday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. CeeDee Lamb suffered a concussion against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and should miss the game as well. That opens up Gallup as the top option for Dak Prescott. Gallup should get a good amount of targets and he has already proven to make plays.

The Cowboys face the Raiders on Thanksgiving who rank 6th against opposing receivers. The Cowboys will have no choice but to involve Gallup, so I expect him to produce despite the good defense.

Wide Receivers Sit ‘Em

AJ Brown – Tennesee Titans

It's been a disappointing few weeks for Brown and the Titans. They just lost to the Houston Texans and Brown was really nowhere to be found. He hasn't reached 10 fantasy points in his last three games and that should stay the same this weekend.

He faces the New England Patriots who are shutting down every opponent right now. The Pats rank 7th against opposing receivers and should limit Brown with how bad Tannehill is playing as of late.

Jerry Jeudy – Denver Broncos

Jeudy faces a difficult matchup as well this weekend. He'll go up against the LA Chargers who rank 2nd against opposing receivers. He missed some time with an injury but since he's been back he hasn't contributed too much. He's getting the targets but the results are there just yet. I don't expect him to play well this week against a solid Chargers secondary.

Tre'Quan Smith – New Orleans Saints

Smith is now one of the top options for the Saints. He missed the first six weeks but since then is playing decently. Trevor Siemian isn't playing very well and that is going to hurt their pass game, obviously. I wouldn't consider starting Smith despite him being one of the Saints' only options at receiver.
