The NFL season is already heading into Week 6, which is a crucial time for fantasy football. Many injuries struck this week, as well as players underperforming in fantasy.

As always, there are players that need to be dropped in fantasy every week. With that said, here is the Week 6 drop list for the 2021 fantasy football season.

2021 Fantasy Football Week 6 Drop List

Tough Cuts:

Robby Anderson- Carolina Panthers

Fantasy Football, Fantasy Football Week 3 Start 'Em Sit 'Em, Wide Receivers, Robby Anderson, Panthers

Heading into the season, many expected Robby Anderson to be a productive fantasy receiver. That has not been the case, and it may be time to let him go. D.J. Moore has seen so much volume in the Panthers' passing game as well as their running backs Christian McCaffery and Chuba Hubbard.

This season, Anderson has 12 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown (Pro Football Reference). He has been a major disappointment, even with McCaffery out. If you want to add someone on waivers, you could cut Anderson.

Devin Singletary- Buffalo Bills

Devin Singletary has struggled to stay consistent throughout the season. He splits carries with Zack Moss and plays with a dual-threat quarterback in Josh Allen. This has taken away from Singletary's value, and it's time for fantasy football owners to consider dropping him.

So far this season, Singletary has rushed for 284 yards on 55 carries and only one touchdown (Pro Football Reference). His lack of production in the red zone makes him hard to hold on to. Even when he gets a good amount of carries, he doesn't cap off drives with a touchdown.

Letting go of Singletary could be the move if fantasy owners can get one of the top waiver pickups this week.

Robert Tonyan- Green Bay Packers

Last season, Robert Tonyan was an elite red zone threat and great fantasy football tight end. This season has been a different story as Tonyan has struggled to get anything going. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense have used Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, and A.J. Dillon in the red zone, limiting Tonyan's production.

This season, Tonyan only has nine receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown (Pro Football Reference). While the waiver wire doesn't always have great tight end options, there are better players available.

He will be hard to drop as many expected him to be a top tight end, but it is time to move on.

Easier Decisions

Trey Sermon- San Francisco 49ers

Many expected Trey Sermon to play a vital role in the 49ers running back committee going into the season. However, even with Raheem Mostert out, Sermon has not seen much production. Elijah Mitchell has taken a bulk of the carries in the 49ers' offense, and it is time to drop Sermon.

This season, Sermon only has 31 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown (Pro Football Reference). His lack of production is not worth holding onto, and fantasy football owners need to move on.

Derek Carr- Las Vegas Raiders

Derek Carr, Raiders

A few weeks ago, Derek Carr was considered an MVP candidate. He was a solid pickup for many fantasy owners as their backup quarterback. However, Carr has struggled over the last few weeks and will now have a new head coach.

Former Raiders head coach Jon Gruden resigned following the release of controversial emails. This was a necessary move, but it will affect Carr and the Raiders moving forward.

So far this season, Carr has thrown for 1,605 yards as well as eight touchdowns and four interceptions (Pro Football Reference). With an interim head coach coming in, Carr is not worth the stash on the bench.

Curtis Samuel- Washington Football Team

Coming into the season, many expected a breakout campaign, but he has been hit with the injury bug. Samuel was out the first three weeks of the season and was hurt early in Washington's week five contest. He is being considered week to week with his injury but may not be worth a roster spot for fantasy owners.

Samuel has been unable to stay on the field and struggled to produce in the one game he played. Due to this, fantasy football owners need to consider dropping him.

Obvious choice: Nyheim Hines

Nyheim Hines has been very inconsistent in fantasy this season, and it is time to drop him. He has struggled over the last two weeks, leading to disappointing fantasy performances. The Colts offense has utilized Jonathan Taylor as the lead rusher, and Hines has not produced as the receiving back.

Fantasy football owners have a lot of decisions to make as the NFL season heads into Week 6, and it will be a significant week on the waiver wire.
