Week 9 of the fantasy baseball season is quickly approaching. This is the part of the season where the contenders are beginning to become separated from the pretenders. Teams that struggled early need to find answers as soon as possible while successful teams are looking to build a championship caliber roster. And utilizing pitcher streamers is a surefire way to help you win on a weekly basis.

Today, we are taking a deep dive into the top Week 9 fantasy baseball pitcher streamers. As always, these will be players who are rostered in 60 percent or less of leagues according to Yahoo Fantasy.

We will take a look at the best two-start pitcher streamers for Week 9.

Without further ado, let's get into it.

2022 Fantasy Baseball Week 9 Pitcher Streamers

Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Jeffrey Springs, TB, 51% Rostered

Matchups: vs. STL, @MIN

Jeffrey Springs has been a pleasant surprise for the Rays. He hasn't allowed more than 3 runs in a game all season and is the owner of a sparkling 1.88 ERA. He has been building strength as well and has pitched at least 5 innings in his previous 3 starts. Springs is also a quietly productive strikeout pitcher. He's struck out at least 6 batters over the course of his past 3 outings.

The matchups are not terrific, but Springs has displayed an ability to limit damage regardless of opponent this year.

Hunter Greene, CIN, 38% Rostered

Matchups: vs. AZ, @STL

Hunter Green's season has been rather inconsistent overall. He will go through stretches where he allows 2 runs or less for 3 starts, then he will give up 4 runs or more in back-to-back outings. However, the one area of consistency has been strikeouts. Green has struck out at least 6 hitters in all but one start this season. His strikeout ability stems from his blazing velocity.

And he should be able to limit the damage against the lowly Diamondbacks in his first scheduled start of Week 9.

Jon Gray, TEX, 22% Rostered

Matchups: @CLE, @CHW

Jon Gray is fresh off of a 12 strikeout performance over 7 innings of work against the Rays. The right-hander has the potential to be a star but has struggled to put all of the pieces together. Nonetheless, Gray's two-start week should have fantasy baseball managers excited.

The matchup with Cleveland isn't all that intimidating and the White Sox are amongst MLB's worst offenses.

Konnor Pilkington, CLE, 1% Rostered

Matchups: vs. TEX, vs. OAK

The Cleveland Guardians excel at producing quality pitching talent, and Pilkington is no exception. He has displayed potential through his short stay in the major leagues this year, and recently recorded his best start of the season against the Royals. Pilkington went 5 innings and allowed just 1 run while striking out 8 in an impressive effort.

Pilkington gets a couple of favorable matchups against the Rangers and A's at home this week. The strikeout ceiling makes him an upside play for fantasy baseball managers in Week 9.

Cal Quantrill, CLE, 48% Rostered

Matchups: vs. TEX, VS. OAK

Cleveland has a tremendous week for streaming. Cal Quantrill joins Pilkington as a favorable pitcher streamer in Week 9. However, he certainly will prove more difficult to find on the waiver wire.

The main appeal of Quantrill is his ability to work deep into games. In an era where pitchers are consistenly removed after 5 innings of work, Quantrill is no stranger to working into the 7th inning. He features decent strikeout upside and should have minimal issue containing the lineups of the Rangers and A's.

Final Words of Wisdom

These 5 pitchers could be the key to winning your Week 9 fantasy baseball matchup. Be sure to add them before it's too late.
