There is a lot of mystery surrounding Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks as of late. Did Wilson really give the team a deadline for a contract extension, or is this just speculation? Regardless of the rumors, something isn't right in Seattle, and it's becoming increasingly possible that Wilson's days in Seattle are numbered.

While Wilson has plenty of years left in the tank, he could very well find himself with a new team in the near future. If the Seahawks decide to deal Wilson in a move that would shake up the league, there are several teams that would likely be willing and able to make a deal for him. Here are three franchises in need of a quarterback that could make a call to Seattle inquiring about Wilson.

3. Washington Redskins

Although the Redskins recently traded for Case Keenum, it's likely a temporary move to bide time while Alex Smith recovers from his horrific leg injury. Unfortunately, the Redskins signed Smith to a multi-year deal, but two of those seasons have been more or less lost to injury.

If the Redskins wait around too long for Smith and throw opportunities to the side, they'll miss out on finding a quarterback that could finally pan out. The team can not seem to catch a break at the position after Robert Griffin III's promising rookie season. However, if the Redskins can somehow pull off a deal to trade for Russell Wilson, then it's sure to be a move that could turn the team around. Washington is neck and neck with New York for the dishonor of being the NFC East's worst team, but with Wilson joining the franchise, it would be impossible to imagine that not changing for the better.

2. Denver Broncos

The trade that sent Joe Flacco to Denver is similar to what Washington did with Keenum. While both quarterbacks are likely starters for the 2019 season, it's unlikely they will be beyond that. Despite adding Flacco, the Broncos are still projected to take a quarterback in this year's draft. Whether they use their first-round pick on one or not remains to be seen, but it can not be counted out.

With that much uncertainty surrounding the position, the Broncos should work on finding a deal with Seattle to bring Wilson over to the Mile High City. Wilson would be a fantastic fit for the team and could play a similar role to what he has successfully done with the Seahawks for so many seasons. Wilson and running back Phillip Lindsay could potentially be a terrifying duo for Denver and boost their rushing ability to the top of the league's ranks.

1. Miami Dolphins

While this would likely be Wilson's last possible destination of the three landing spots he'd like to play aside, the Dolphins are the most desperate for a quarterback and could make a big move for one.

The days of Dan Marino are long gone and the team's stubborn commitment to Ryan Tannehill lasted far too long. No one honestly believes Ryan Fitzpatrick is the team's long-term quarterback, no matter how magical he was at times in 2018.

The Dolphins could look no further than making a deal for Wilson and not be forced to draft a hopeful quarterback of the future in 2019 or 2020. Wilson may be able to turn the Dolphin's offense to complement a defense that was a pleasant surprise last season. Miami wasted a lot of time waiting for Tannehill to pan out, but they should not be as patient in pursuing Wilson.
