The Kansas City Chiefs make the trip to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots on Sunday in one of the biggest matchups of the weekend. The Patriots are the favorites in the game, but Vegas has this one all wrong.

Let's break down four reasons the Chiefs will pull off the upset on Sunday afternoon.

4. Patriots lack of running game

The way to attack the Chiefs' defense is on the ground, but the Patriots have trouble rushing the ball. On the season, the Patriots are averaging 96.3 yards per game on the ground. Sony Michel has rushed for only 645 yards and this was supposed to be his breakout year. Even against a bad rush defense, the Patriots are going to struggle to get the run game going.

3. Chiefs playmakers on offense

The Patriots can try to take away a couple of the playmakers for the Chiefs, but they aren't going to be able to take them all away, and that is advantage Chiefs.

Out wide they have Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman, and Demarcus Robinson. Travis Kelce is also a mismatch for any defense.

LeSean McCoy and Damien Williams aren't the best running backs in the league, but they are a good compliment to the offense.

The Patriots' defense is good, but there are too many playmakers for the Patriots to shut them all down. There also shouldn't be any rain or snow on Sunday, which is also an advantage for the Chiefs.

2. Tom Brady

It's pretty clear at this point that age is catching up with Tom Brady and he is going to have another bad game on Sunday. In the Patriots' last game, Brady threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, but a lot of that came during garbage time. Completion percentage isn't the most important stat for an NFL quarterback, but it's one of the key ones, and he has been terrible.

Brady is completing only 61.1 percent of his passes, which is 29th in the NFL. Just a couple of games ago against the Dallas Cowboys, Brady only completed 45.9 percent of his passes and that is embarrassing for an NFL quarterback.

He is one of the best quarterbacks of all time, but he can't be getting a pass anymore for how he is playing this year. He is playing like a bottom tier quarterback right now.

1. Patrick Mahomes

The last two games, Patrick Mahomes has been held under 200 passing yards, but the Chiefs still won both games and that is a big problem for the rest of the league. In the Patriots' last game, Deshaun Watson looked really good, throwing for 234 yards and three touchdowns.

On the season, the Patriots' defense is giving up only 163.5 yards per game but they really haven't been tested and Mahomes is going to have a lot of fun in this one.

Don't be shocked if Mahomes throws for 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns. The Patriots better hope that some rain or snow shows up in the forecast or it's going to be a long afternoon for their defense.
