The San Francisco 49ers are having a special season and they can prove even more doubters wrong with a victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The 49ers are underdogs on the road, but that doesn't mean they can't come away with an upset. Let's breakdown four reasons the 49ers can pick up their 11th win of the season on Sunday.

4. Weather

It's supposed to rain for most of the game in Baltimore, and that could be something that slows down Lamar Jackson a bit.

“We'll see how it is on Sunday, and how that could affect both teams, but I usually don't like [the rain] or want it as much because I feel we're a team that's predicated on speed, and I think rain always slows you down a little bit,” Shanahan said on KNBR's “Tolbert, Krueger and Brooks.” “I don't mind too much their quarterback (Lamar Jackson) slowing down, though.

Both teams are going to need to play through the elements, but if it does slow Jackson that is going to be a big advantage for the 49ers.

3. Jimmy Garoppolo has been tested

Jimmy Garoppolo has struggled at times against the blitz this year and he is probably going to be blitzed a lot by the Ravens. The good news for Garoppolo is the Packers blitzed him a lot in the last game and he was still able to throw for 253 and two touchdowns.

The Ravens have a lot better defense than the Packers but Garoppolo has proven that he can have success against the blitz. He also didn't throw any interceptions against the Packers and that is going to be key.

2. Kyle Shanahan

Kyle Shanahan is one of the best offensive minds in all of football and there is no doubt he is going to have a great gameplan ready, even against a very good defense. He is going to mix the run and the pass to keep the Ravens defense off balance.

It's probably going to take a good amount of points to keep this game close, and Shanahan is the perfect guy to trust to help get it done.

1. DeForest Buckner against Pat Mekari

Nick Bosa has been a nightmare for defenses all season and no matter what the Ravens try to do to slow him down, he is going to put pressure on Lamar Jackson.

That means Jackson is going to need to step up in the pocket to avoid pressure, and that's where the big advantage for the 49ers will be.

DeForest Buckner is a clog in the middle of the 49ers defense and will be going against Pat Mekari who will be making his first start at center since high school. Mekari isn't going to be able to handle Buckner by himself which will open up opportunities for the rest of the defense.

Buckner and the rest of the defensive line is going to be a nightmare for the Ravens offensive line. They can't win the game by themselves, but they are the number one reason the 49ers can win this game.
