Brandon Aiyuk has begun to evolve into a key contributor for the San Francisco 49ers and he's drawing the attention of other wide receivers in the NFL. Ahead of San Francisco's bout with the Washington Football Team, Aiyuk reacted to Dez Bryant comparing him to Julio Jones.

“A lot of people were sending it to me, like family and friends,” Aiyuk said, via Keiana Martin of the team's official site. “I appreciate it, Dez, but I don't know about that one yet. Julio's definitely one of the greatest receivers of all time, so (I'm) far from that. But (I'll) just continue to try to work towards that. But I appreciate it.”

Jones has been one of the best wide receivers, and arguably one of the most gifted wide receivers in NFL history, since being taken by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2011 NFL Draft. The former first-round pick has seven Pro Bowls and two All-Pro nods while also being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

Given that, Aiyuk has quite the catching up to do if he wants to be mentioned in the same class as Jones. The rookie wideout out of Arizona State has caught 40 passes for 541 yards and four touchdowns despite playing in only nine games.

In addition, Brandon Aiyuk has recorded a touchdown reception in four out of his past five games, showing off his ability to create after the catch. While he doesn't want to compare himself to Jones, Aiyuk will be focused on continuing his recent success against Washington in Week 14.
