San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel had a strong game in the team's win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.

Samuel made sure to let Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald know all about it after the three-time Defensive Player responded to a question about Deebo with “Who?” during his postgame press conference.

Yes, this actually happened:

The response:

Samuel had six receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown, helping the 49ers get back on track after San Francisco was blown out by the Miami Dolphins last week. Samuel also made a key play late to help clinch the game.

The second-year wideout has been an explosive playmaker for the 49ers over the past two years. Samuel averaged 14.1 yards per reception in 2019, and head coach Kyle Shanahan has also not been afraid to use Deebo in the running game and end-arounds.

Perhaps this performance against the Rams will jumpstart Samuel's year.

The 24-year-old missed the first three games of the season as he continued to recover from a Jones fracture in his foot. Samuel returned in Week 4, but he had just five receptions for 54 yards in the last two weeks.

However, Samuel and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo seemed to be on the same page on Sunday night. Samuel hauled in all six of his targets against the Rams after grabbing just two of eight targets last week.

The Niners are still in the NFC West cellar at 3-3, but they pulled to within a game of L.A. after earning a huge win.

Donald is in a class of his own when it comes to elite NFL talent, but Samuel and the 49ers want to let him know they are building momentum. San Francisco certainly looked like a Super Bowl contender again on Sunday night.
