DeForest Buckner is making his feelings plain. San Francisco 49ers rookie defensive lineman Nick Bosa made a lot of headlines in the lead-up to the 2019 NFL Draft as a result of some controversial posts on social media, but 49ers players insist it won't be a big deal.

Previously, San Francisco cornerback Richard Sherman said that the only things that matter are Bosa's production on the field and how he is as a teammate. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo echoed the same sentiments.

Now, Niners defensive lineman DeForest Buckner is essentially saying the same thing and has no problems with Bosa:

“He's a really good dude,” Buckner said of Bosa on KNBR. “His work ethic is there. If he just puts the work in like the rest of us, he's gonna have a bright future.”

As for whether Bosa's social media past matters? Buckner says it won't be an issue:

“Honestly, none of that really comes up between the guys,” Buckner said. “I judge him based on my interactions with him and the past couple of days I've had with him. And he seems like he's been a really good teammate so far. That's what I'm basing my judgments off of from here on out.”

Bosa, who played collegiate football at Ohio State University, was selected by the 49ers with the second overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft late last month.

He has come under fire for his criticism of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, whom Bosa called a “clown” for kneeling during the national anthem back in 2016.
