When the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime on Monday night, their attention turned to the status of Emmanuel Sanders. Luckily for San Francisco, Sanders is considered day-to-day with a rib injury per Nick Wagoner.

During Monday night's contest, the veteran wide receiver made his way to the sideline after suffering a rib injury. After getting the injury examined in the locker room, Sanders was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Despite his absence, San Francisco was only a Chase McLaughlin field goal away from defeating the Seahawks. Nevertheless, they'll look forward to getting Sanders back in their offense as soon as they can.

Before Week 8, the 49ers chose to make a move to acquire Sanders from the Denver Broncos. In his debut with the team, he immediately proved his worth with four receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown as San Francisco steamrolled the Carolina Panthers 51-13.

The versatile wide receiver followed that up with an impressive showing against Patrick Peterson and the Arizona Cardinals with seven catches, 112 yards, and a touchdown. Then, before getting injured in Week 10, he had two receptions for 24 yards.

While Kyle Shanahan has ruled Sanders as day-to-day, he will be a game-time decision in Week 11. With a quick turnaround following their loss on Monday, San Francisco will face the Cardinals again on Sunday.

If Sanders is unable to suit up, expect to see the rookie Deebo Samuel and Dante Pettis see more targets in the offense. In addition, the team could be getting George Kittle back on the field at some point this week.
