Emmanuel Sanders is enjoying the Bay Area life. Subsequently, he is enjoying being on his new team, the San Francisco 49ers, who traded for him with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.

For Sanders, 32, one area in particular sticks out about the 49ers: the coach. Coach Kyle Shanahan has made a good impression on the wide receiver for his demeanor and his shoe choice.

“He's just a very laid back, funny guy. Light guy… light on his toes,” said Sanders on Wednesday, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. “I noticed in the team meeting I was like ‘I can't wait to get home and tell my wife that the head coach is wearing Yeezys.' I was like ‘that's cool.. this is one cool coach.'”

Sanders' 49ers are a perfect 6-0. He is aware that though the coach is relaxed, the team and everything surrounding it has aspirations for more than an undefeated regular-season record.

“But at the end of the day, we have a concentration and a focus on the task at hand,” said Sanders. “So, I can tell that his team is a reflection of him and it's cool to see.”

Sanders is a two-time Pro Bowler (2014, 2016). Though he is coming off of a torn Achilles, he has shown little signs of aging in 2019. Through seven games, with the Broncos, he has 30 receptions for 367 yards and two touchdowns.

The 49ers were looking for a reliable receiver before making the trade. With Sanders on-board, they have just that, plus one that will appreciate his coach's shoes.
