Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers is being praised by coaches all over the NFL. After Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy called Warner a complete football player, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh offered more compliments for Warner.

Saleh, who's been working closely with Warner on the 49ers, admits that he's biased in his declaration but defended his point. Apart from his sheer athleticism, Saleh is also in awe of Warner's overall disposition.

“I will be biased and say that he is by far, by far the best middle linebacker in football,” the 49ers defensive coordinator said Thursday, per Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports. “It's not even close in my opinion. With what he does and what we ask him to do and his energy, his positive energy, his leadership, his off-the-field stuff, you can't make them like that, not very often anyway.”

This is the second round of applause the 49ers' emerging linebacker has received in two days. Wednesday, McCarthy called Warner a complete football player. He also shared his view on Warner's place in the 49ers' defensive packages.

“He’s a complete football player, let alone a complete linebacker,” McCarthy said of the rising star. “I can’t say enough about his instincts and awareness and ability to make plays.

“You can see the comfort level he has in their scheme,” McCarthy said. “His recognition conceptually about the run and the pass is impressive, amazing. Clearly one of the best linebackers that we’ve seen all year. Clearly.”

These words certainly hold a lot of weight. A fan of Warner or not, you cannot help but agree that he's one of the best out there.

The 49ers and Dallas Cowboys meet this upcoming Sunday. The two glamor franchises are going to miss the playoffs this season, but in 2021, Warner could lead a San Francisco resurgence in the NFC.
