In addition to defensive end Nick Bosa, the San Francisco 49ers will also be without cornerbacks Jason Verrett and K'Waun Williams for the entirety of the preseason due to injuries:

Both Verrett and Bosa suffered ankle injuries during Wednesday's practice, while Williams has been dealing with a knee issue and just underwent a scope. All these injuries are certainly a bummer for San Francisco, who will be looking to bounce back in 2019 after an ugly 2018 campaign gave them the No. 2 pick in the draft, which allowed them to take Bosa.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan addressed all these injuries as well as the four-game preseason schedule on Thursday, saying he doesn't think four preseason games are necessary:

Because of all these injuries, others will have a chance to prove themselves throughout the preseason. Former third overall pick Solomon Thomas will likely pick up some extra snaps, as well as Kentavius Street and Damontre Moore. Cornerbacks Greg Mabin and Tim Harris will be seeing the majority of time on the outside on Saturday, when the 49ers face the Dallas Cowboys for Week 1 of the preseason.

San Francisco is hoping all these injured players will be ready to go when the regular season starts, but these injuries should be handled carefully.
