Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers shell-shocked the Los Angeles Rams in Monday Night Football with a rather brilliant showing. In the process, they also ended a losing skid that has frustrated their home fans for over a year now.

Before the Week 10 showdown, the 49ers have last won at Levi's Stadium on October 18, 2020. Yes, that's a 393-day gap from their last victory in front of their home fans. Interestingly though, that win in 2020 also came at the expense of the Rams.

By the looks of it, Kyle Shanahan and Co. really knows what they need to do when facing the LA franchise.

While the 31-10 result should be a cause for celebration, the 49ers know very well they still have a lot to do if they want to turn the season around and make the playoffs. Despite improving to 4-5 on the season, they are still way behind the Rams (7-3) and Arizona Cardinals (8-2) in the NFC West.

Shanahan said as much following their win on Monday, sharing that he didn't give the game ball to anyone since if he did, everyone would have gotten one. He also wants his player to produce the same level of play weekly as they try to climb up the standings.

ā€œWe have to start to expect more games like that,ā€ the 49ers tactician added, per 95.7 The Game.

The 49ers visit the Jacksonville Jaguars next before returning home to Levi's to host the Minnesota Vikings. Hopefully, thought, their latest win is the catalyst they need to string more wins at home and on the road.
