The San Francisco 49ers are extending their partnership with one of their key players in fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who agreed to sign a five-year, $27 million deal to remain with the team, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Similar to recent seasons, he is once again expected to play a vital role for the 49ers in the years to come.

After inking a fresh contract, Juszczyk posted a picture on Instagram and naturally dropped an epic pun based on his name:

Many were taken aback when the former Harvard standout signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the 49ers when he first came to the team back in 2017. Juszczyk managed to prove that he was deserving to land the paycheck as he emerged as a vital cog in the team's offense.

More than anything else, it's Juszczyk's versatility that makes him a cut above everyone else. He effectuates the game with his abilities as a blocker, receiver, and short-yardage runner. In the 2020 season, he racked up a total of 202 receiving yards on 19 receptions to go with four touchdowns. He also registered 64 rushing yards on 17 attempts along with two touchdowns scored.

With Juszczyk's fresh signing, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is hoping that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will be able to bounce back on the field in order to fully maximize their offensive rotation after a disappointing 2020 season.

Ultimately, the 49ers still have more work to do in order to get back to being the contenders that they once were, but securing Kyle Juszczyk is definitely a step in the right direction for the team's winning cause moving forward.
