San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert sounded off regarding the turf found on MetLife Stadium after another injury incident. The 28-year old player previously suffered a sprained MCL in their Week 2 matchup against the New York Jets on the same field.

The Purdue product took to Twitter to voice his disappointment regarding the stadium's turf:

Not only Mostert but also a handful of Niners players found themselves restricted on the sidelines in the same game. Defensive end Nick Bosa had a season-ending torn ACL injury while his partner Solomon Thomas also suffered the same fate. Quarterback Jimmy Garropolo sustained a high ankle sprain followed by running back Tevin Coleman who also suffered a knee injury. Sophomore linebacker Dre Greenlaw was dealt with a quad contusion to conclude the long list of injured players for the week.

The 49ers were struck with the same lightning in Week 3 as they lost tight end Jordan Reed to a sprained MCL, while linebacker Mark Nzeaocha injured his quad in their game against the New York Giants.

The latest incident on the field occurred in a Thursday Night Football Week 3 matchup which featured the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos. Gang Green's very own wide receiver in Lawrence Cager suffered a serious ankle injury while Broncos tight end Noah Fant was also carted off the field in the game but was diagnosed to only be a minor injury.

Both tenants of the field in the Jets and the Giants were also unable to attract their own luck in the early stages of the season. The two teams have found themselves in an identical 0-3 position heading into Week 4 with their slumping performances not looking to end anytime soon.

After a rash of injuries on the field, it would be best for the league to replace MetLife Stadium's turf with real grass instead. The coming weeks will see if the stadium will need an overhaul if it will continue to cause injuries for the players on the gridiron.
