Recently as a guest on, “The Chris Collinsworth Podcast,” star cornerback Richard Sherman spoke about some of his teammates on the San Francisco 49ers and recalling his time with the Seattle Seahawks. One of his ex-teammates, Marshawn Lynch, is considered to be on the NFL's greatest running backs during his time. Not does his personality make him likable, but Lynch is known for running through opposing defenses with force.

Apparently, Sherman believes Marshawn Lynch 2.0 is currently playing for the 49ers, only he lines up as a wide receiver. It seems as though Deebo Samuel, the second-year wide receiver, shows some similarities to Marshawn Lynch.

It's quite the comparison considering most receivers in the NFL avoid contact and use their quickness and speed to get around tacklers. However, according to Sherman, Samuel is just built differently, per NBC Sports.

“It's something you definitely never see in receivers, sometimes you see it out of running backs,” Sherman said of his 49ers teammate. “He is just like a hunter for contact. And he always thinks he's getting through it.”

Samuel very well could be an enforcer lined up along the sideline. He's 5-11 and weighs 214 pounds, making him a min-truck on the field whenever he has the ball in his hands. He proved his toughness in his rookie year by being one of the best in yards after the catch with 12.9.

Unfortunately, Samuel was held out with injuries in 2020, but he should be back healthy next year. The 49ers should be able to get back on track with his return, along with George Kittle as well. San Francisco suffered from injuries that swerved any playoff hopes last season. It'll be interesting to see what the 49ers do this offseason, as they'll be aiming to get back to the Super Bowl once again.
