The Detroit Pistons are going to have a tough decision to make when they do decide to get rid of Jerami Grant at the NBA trade deadline. It seems inevitable at this point that they are going to trade him and if they don't trade him for the package that he warrants, Detroit can find themselves in an even tougher position than they are already in.

Let's take a look at five trades that could help both the Pistons and other teams when dealing Grant.

Jerami Grant Trades

5. Detroit gets: Anfernee Simons and Robert Covington

This might be the best option that Detroit is going to get because Simons has shown throughout his short stint of starting games due to Damian Lillard being out, that he is going to be an elite scorer in this league. He might not be as good of a score as a guy like Jerami Grant is, but he is younger and that is something that the Pistons are going to factor in.

They're also going to get back Robert Covington who is a veteran in this league and the Pistons could also decide to flip him and trade him to a contender for some draft picks or another young guy. This could be their best option because they're going to get somebody who has the potential to be an elite scorer back for Jerami Grant and then also potentially be able to trade Covington for some draft capital.

4. Detroit gets: Delon Wright, Cam Reddish, and Onyeka Okongwu

The Atlanta Hawks have made it clear that they are thinking about getting rid of Reddish and Detroit should decide to get in on that. He is still a young player and he does have the potential to be a star in this league. With how young he is, he is perfect for this Detroit team because Reddish is still going to help them speed up that rebuild process while also being able to play for them for the next 10 years. He is essentially everything that an NBA team would want because he is 6 ft 8′ and defends at a high level while also being able to score the basketball. This could be the best option for Detroit just because of how good Cam Reddish is and they are also going to get other players who could come in and help this team.

3. Detroit gets: Malik Beasley, Naz Reid, and a 2nd round draft pick

This could also be a good idea for the Pistons because they are going to get back a draft pick and that is something that they can either use to draft a player or to trade in a package if they ever are going to make a big move.

Factor in that Minnesota would be sending Malik Beasley and Naz Reid who have both shown that they could be very good players in this league and it would make a lot of sense from the Pistons perspective. They could use a center and Naz Reid could come in and fit that role perfectly due to how young he still is and how good of a player he has shown he could be in this league so far this season.

2. Detroit gets: Kyle Anderson and Tyus Jones

It seems almost inevitable that Memphis is going to go out and try to get another star player to pair next to Ja Morant. Desmond Bane is a great player and there is a chance that he could still continue playing as good of basketball as he has this season for the rest of the year but they should make sure that they go get somebody else just in case he does start playing not as well as he is. Jerami Grant would be the perfect opportunity for this team and they would just have to give up two guys who do play a nice role on their team but could be replaceable.

Tyus Jones and Kyle Anderson are both very good pros and Detroit knows exactly what they're going to get out of both of them. It could make sense from both perspectives because both teams are going to be looking to improve and this could help both of them out.

1. Detroit gets: Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber

Dallas is another team that's going to clearly be looking for that second star to pair next to Luka Doncic. This could be the perfect opportunity for them while they only have to get rid of white Powell and Maxi Kleber. Both of these guys play big roles on the Mavs, but they have to realize that they are not going to only win with just Luka there and that's something that they're going to really need to think about when deciding on getting a guy like Jerami Grant.
