On May 27th, 2020, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR officially made their debut in AEW, finally arriving in Jacksonville, Florida, in a black pickup truck to save the Young Bucks from a brutal beatdown by the Butcher and the Blade.

So naturally, on May 27th 2024, Harwood took to social media to celebrate four years with the promotion, running through his personal growth within the company and detailing how excited he is for the future inside Tony Khan's squared circle moving forward.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t speak on our 4 year Anniversary here at AEW. Sometimes, online, I get a lot of flack for either defending AEW too often, or being soft when it comes to the criticisms of the company. Mostly by ex-wrestling personalities who now have an outlet to speak and use AEW for clicks & likes, which is completely ironic because they all hope for the very worst for the company that they monetize the most from.

ANYWAY…I get a lot of flack, and sometimes, that does suck. However, without this company, I doubt I’d still be in wrestling. All I ever wanted was to do something GOOD for pro wrestling. That was never going to happen without AEW. I was watching my career and my hopes of a legacy in the industry that I’ve loved for over 30 years, fade away. Then AEW came along.

Now, I’ve had the greatest matches of my career; some even say the best tag matches of all time. I’ve become a 10 WORLD Tag Team Champion. I’ve won numerous awards from internationally reputable organizations. Above all, I’ve made a living that takes care of my family (yes I know I say it all the time) incredibly well, all because of AEW.

So yeah, maybe I do defend the company too much. Maybe I do defend my boss too much. But it’s all done from a place of absolute love and passion for this profession. A LOVE that we all, as fans, have! And if that makes me wrong, then I can deal with that.

Thank you AEW for 4 years. I’m looking forward to 40 more.

Top Guys, out.

Has FTR's tenure in AEW always been drama-free? No, there was a full year where the duo were largely relegated to Ring of Honor as they pursued their version of the Belt Collector storyline and even flirted with the idea of hitting free agency when their initial deals came to an end. Still, the duo have since found AEW serenity in a post-CM Punk world and are now two of the top AEW guys in the game, so much so that they represented the promotion on Team AEW at Double or Nothing.

Eric Bischoff further addresses his X feud with Dax Harwood.

Now for fans who know a thing or two about the dramatic goings within the IWC, you are certainly aware of the feud between Eric Bischoff and Dax Harwood, with the latter repeatedly accusing the former of being a WWE stooge who purposefully trashes AEW in exchange for an under-the-table paycheck.

Addressing the situation on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff further put Harwood down, accusing him of losing his credibility for consistently spouting disinformation.

“Dax put up a tweet—or a Twix, or an expost, or whatever the freak we want to call them now. Let's take a look at that before we get into this, because it kind of sets the stage. ‘Can't wait for paid podcasters to complain and ask, where's the story?' Interesting that Dax didn't necessarily call me out specifically, but he's still convinced that the only reason anybody does a podcast critical of him or AEW is because we're paid. In other words, we wouldn't have the opinions we do if we weren't paid, would we?” Eric Bischoff declared via Ringside News.

“Unfortunately, Dax, I think if you look at the rest of the comments on your post, as well as many others, and listen to the people you should be listening to—your audience, by the way, or the audience you wish you had—most would agree with a lot of the negative critiques that we have here. But Dax, unfortunately, is in this delusional state of mind where he's convinced himself, and is trying to convince other delusional people in their basements or whatever, that the only reason people like me, Bully, Jim Cornette, or anybody else is criticizing AEW is because we're getting paid by WWE. You dips**t, you're killing your own character.”

Is Bischoff actually getting paid by WWE? He says he isn't, but frankly, it's impossible to know, but one thing that is definitive is that the feud between Bischoff and Harwood likely won't be going away any time soon, which is fantastic news for wrestling fans who enjoy the drama.
