AEW Rampage last Friday saw an uptick in viewership after they return to their normal time slot of 10 PM Eastern Standard Time. Brandon Thurston reported that the June 3rd episode of Rampage had on average viewership 475,000–a 39.3 percent increase from last week's episode when they began at 6:30 pm EST.
AEW Rampage saw the time slot change on TNT due to the NHL coverage taking priority, but as they go back to their normal time slot, it doesn't look like there will be much to worry about.

This was a better average viewership than any episode in the month of May for Rampage, and the best they've done since the April 22nd episode of AEW Rampage, as f4wonline.com showcases.
Despite the uptick in average viewership, AEW Rampage did not increase its viewership in the 18-49 demographic rating, which stayed at last week's number of 183,000. Another reason for the uptick in viewership could be due to CM Punk's announcement that he was injured and required surgery. Punk tweeted he had an announcement to make and was a trending topic moments later, surely helping the average viewership of the episode.
Later in the show, it was revealed that there would be an interim AEW World Champion crowned at AEW & NJPW supershow, Forbidden Door. It was also stated that the no. 1 contender would be determined through a battle royal next week on Dynamite and the winner faced Jon Moxley in the main event the same night. The top contender will then take on NJPW's Hiroshi Tanahashi at Forbidden Door to crown the new interim AEW World Champion.
