Gangrel appeared in AEW Rampage flanked by the Young Bucks, who appeared to mock Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy who formerly formed the New Brood.
Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks, are set to face Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, the Hardy Boyz, in a tag team match at AEW Double Or Nothing. To get into their head, the Young Bucks sought to use the Hardys' past against them.
On the May 27 episode of AEW Rampage, the Young Bucks came out to the theme of the Hardys, accompanied to the ring by WWF Attitude Era wrestler Gangrel, who used to lead The Brood stable, which originally consisted of Edge and Christian and subsequently, Matt and Jeff. Matt and Jeff would later form the “New Brood” with Gangrel, but shortly after earning the services of Terri Runnels, the duo split with their former leader.

Now, we don't know what's in store for Gangrel moving forward. Perhaps we'll see him manage The Hardys at Double or Nothing, but beyond that, we don't know yet. One thing's for sure, though – a lot of fans were glad to see Gangrel back in action. Gangrel was reportedly supposed to appear earlier this year in AEW, but Edge's use of The Brood gimmick back in WWE prevented him from appearing earlier than he did now.
