Jordan Brand has released official images of yet another upcoming retro release and sneakerheads will be seeing a classic return in an all-new concept. The Air Jordan 6 is back for a number of summer-ready releases and this next drop will play into a similar “Oreo” theme we've seen from Michael Jordan's championship sneakers in the past. Check out our Sneakers news for more upcoming releases and breaking content!

Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 6 when it was first released in 1991 and famously worn during the Chicago Bulls' first championship run. The shoes have received countless retro colorways, from the classic “Carmine” to more exotic looks like the “Motorsport” edition. A classic colorway for Jordan Brand has always been the “Oreo,” a black/white color scheme usually featuring speckled paint throughout.

The classic “Oreo” 6s first released in 2010 and are now fetching upwards of $400 on the resale market. This upcoming pair, dubbed “Reverse Oreo,” takes a similar approach in color scheme, with a more toned-down look over a predominantly white sneaker.

The Air Jordan 6 comes in as one of the most wearable shoes from the numbered Jordan collection in terms of their crossover from the court to the streets. Sporting a tough look, the Jordan 6 has a multi-layered and paneled upper comprised of premium leather. The shoes are perforated throughout to offer breathability and we see the entire upper donned in white. The black contrasts come within the tongue, Jordan lace lock, heel tab, and sockliner.

The Jumpman logo is seen on the back heel and as all Jordan 6s, these will feature and icy blue outsole. The hallmark feature here is the black speckled midsole running throughout the whole shoe, immediately hinting at the “Oreo” theme for these. Unlike their counterpart, this “Reverse Oreo” edition will be much more subtle and in my opinion, much more versatile for wearing. All in all, this should be an exciting release as it stands out from some of the other general release pairs.

The Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Oreo” has been confirmed for a June 8, 2024 releases date as Jordan Brand provided official images of the sneakers. They're slated to release on Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers for a standard price tag of $200. They'll also come in full family sizing with price adjustments made to reflect sizing. We should be seeing a decent stock of these come in, but be sure to grab your pair on release date for retail if you can.

How do you think these stack-up against the original Air Jordan 6 “Oreo”?
