Redshirt junior quarterback Quincy Casey is leaving Alabama A&M and hitting the transfer portal, per an announcement on his social media accounts.

Casey said in his statement:

“Being able to live your dream and accomplish your goals scholastically is always a win/win. Often times, many people forget that following your dream comes with decisions that may sometimes be upsetting to some, but they have to be made. Thank you, A&M family, for allowing me to accomplish those dreams both on and off the field. Thank you to my coaches and teammates. As a proud alumnus of Alabama A&M, Bulldog Nation will forever be home. With that, I will continue to follow my dream by entering my name in the transfer portal with one year left as a grad transfer. Pressure is a privilege. See y'all soon.”

Quincy Casey joined Alabama A&M after a stint with Jackson State. He joined the Tigers in 2019 under former head coach John Hendricks. He didn't see the field much, playing only three games.

Following the cancellation of the Fall 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Casey played under Deion Sanders in the Spring 2021 season. He became the starter for the Tigers after then-quarterback Jalon Jones was benched. Ironically, his best game in his stint was against Alabama A&M, where he threw for 323 yards and 4 touchdowns on 30/47 passing in a loss.

He then joined Alabama A&M following the Spring 2021 season. He played heavy snaps for the Bulldogs this year, throwing for 1,490 yards and 11 touchdowns with 6 interceptions on 115/195 passing in only 7 games this season.
