There's no accounting for player taste but Steam players generally respond favorably to great competitive titles. Above all, Apex's achievement becomes more impressive considering the game has only been playable on Steam for a little over 4 months. Who knows just how big this game will get in the coming months.

Currently, Apex Season is in its 8th competitive season.  The second-anniversary is about to wrap up but several parts of the event could become permanent fixtures to the title. One thing is for certain, Respawn Entertainment clearly cares about the quality of its game. Undoubtedly, the spike in player count will translate into a better experience for players overall.
