Aspen Ladd has had a roller coaster of a week. A botched weight cut led to her fight being canceled at UFC Vegas 38 and now it appears she has another fight booked.

Macy Chiasson asked for the fight to be scrapped after Aspen Ladd had trouble with her weigh-in, shaking on the scales and falling to make weight at 137. The moment was very controversial and many said it was time for Ladd to move up to featherweight.

It was then reported by Ariel Helwani that Holly Holm was out of her main event fight against Norma Dumont at UFC Vegas 40. Several names were tossed around and soon Aspen Ladd was thrown into the mix.

ESPN reported that Aspen Ladd was stepping in and taking the place of Holly Holm against Norma Dumont. The fight is at featherweight and is still expected to be five rounds.

It has long been said that Ladd needed to move up to 145 as she hasn't looked good on the scales in a number of instances. Notably against Germaine de Randamie back in 2019.

The move was criticized by many as people felt Macy Chiasson should have been given the opportunity or someone else that didn't have weight issues. Some felt the UFC was rewarding Aspen Ladd by giving her the main event slot.

No matter how it's perceived, the fight is happening. Aspen Ladd is finally at featherweight, and the winner could potentially get a title shot against Amanda Nunes with an impressive victory.
