Assassin's Creed Valhalla is releasing its second expansion, The Siege of Paris, this week. It will follow the previously released Sigrblot Season Free Update, which kicked off last July 29. It featured flying, new fighting tournaments, dice games, three new quests, new settlement decorations, items and weapons. This update also included the addition of one-handed swords to the game. It will run until August 19.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Siege of Paris Release Date – August 12, 2021

The upcoming expansion, like The Wrath of Druids released earlier this year, will feature a new location for Eivor to explore. This time, it will be the plague-ridden city of Paris in the 9th century, and the city's nearby surrounding areas of lush countryside. Eivor will be heavily involved in the region's politics, as they adventure through the war-torn land of Francia.

Additionally, one of the biggest additions to the expansion is the return of the franchise's Black-Box Assassinations. Now called Infiltration Missions, these quests allow players to freely decide how to execute their assigned targets. Players can choose to thoroughly investigate an area and acquire all the possible options for a stealthy assassination. Meanwhile, they also have the option to simply go through the front door and murder everything in their wake.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris will also feature several new weapons, armor sets, tattoos, skills, and abilities. This will allow players to customize their version of Eivor even further. In addition, the soundtrack for the expansion will also release on August 12.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris DLC is available for $25. For more on Assassin's Creed Valhalla's upcoming additional content, check out our article here.
