The Cleveland Browns and quarterback Baker Mayfield have been struggling to find their rhythm this season. A lot of the struggles have been blamed solely on the shoulders of Mayfield, but the fan base is relatively split on their thoughts regarding the starting quarterback. Some believe that the Browns would be better moving on from Mayfield, while others still have their support placed behind the face of the franchise. Nonetheless, in this post we're going to be making some Baker Mayfield Week 11 predictions.

Mayfield and the Browns are coming off of a brutal loss to the New England Patriots in Week 10. They ended up losing that game by a final score of 45-7. That loss could come up big late in the season when AFC teams are vying for playoff positioning.

In that brutal loss, Mayfield did little to put himself in Browns' fans good graces. He completed 11 of his 21 pass attempts for just 73 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Mayfield did go down with an injury that forced him out of the game early.

On the season, Mayfield has completed 65.4 percent of his pass attempts for 1,990 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. He has also chipped in 80 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Those numbers don't look horrible, but for a guy who was supposed to be an MVP candidate they haven't been good enough. Now, he is set for a matchup with the winless Detroit Lions. This is a game that could be very harmful for Mayfield's future with the Browns if he is unable to come through with a big game and a win over a bad team.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look our Baker Mayfield Week 11 predictions ahead of Browns-Lions.

Baker Mayfield Week 11 Predictions

3. Mayfield Will Not Turn The Football Over

So far this season, Mayfield has thrown four interceptions and has fumble four times as well. He has not been healthy for the majority of the year, which has contributed to his poor performance. However, no excuses can be made for any NFL quarterback.

This week against a lowly Lions team, Mayfield will take care of the football. He will not turn the ball over a single time in this game.

Making sure that the football is taken care of is something that has been a bit of a rollercoaster for Mayfield so far in his career. In his rookie season, he threw 14 interceptions and fumbled four times. He backed that up with 21 interceptions and four fumbles in year two and last season he threw eight interceptions with four fumbles.

At least for this week, turnovers are not going to be part of the storyline surrounding Mayfield.

2. He Will Put Up A Monstrous Statistical Performance

Mayfield is due for a big game and a big game could be what he needs to rejuvenate his confident and get him rolling for the rest of the season. We are predicting that he will have a massive game against a bad Lions' defense.

It would be reasonable to expect Mayfield to throw for 350 yards for the first time this season. He will also toss three touchdown passes against Detroit. Those numbers would be season-highs for Mayfield this year.

A quarterback with the kind of pure talent that Mayfield possesses should not be struggling like he has. Injuries or no injuries, it's time for Mayfield to show why the Browns have made him the center of their franchise. Against the Lions, Mayfield will be able to do just that and shut up his critics for at least one week.

1. The Browns Come Through With The Dominant Win They Need

Coming into this game, the Browns hold a record of 5-5. They have had a rough season all-around, both on the field and off the field. For a team that desperately needs a dominant win, this matchup against the Lions could not have come at a better time.

From the Odell Beckham Jr. drama, to injuries to both Mayfield and plenty of other key contributors, the Browns have had it rough. Making major changes and moving on from Mayfield has turned into a legitimate option, but that would be a huge step backwards for Cleveland. Instead, getting things firing on all cylinders with a big win over the Lions would be ideal.

Behind a massive performance from Mayfield, we are predicting that the Browns will end up winning this game by a final score of 35-20. While the Lions will be gunning for their first win of the season after tying with the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, they will not find success. Mayfield will look the part of a franchise quarterback and hopefully that will be enough to jumpstart his season.
