Barcelona’s new signing Sergio Aguero is reportedly nearing his return from injury.

Sergio Aguero’s arrival at Barcelona was already a bittersweet moment as his close friend and compatriot Lionel Messi has left for Paris Saint-Germain.

Things became even more devastating after Aguero incurred an off-season injury and was ruled as out of action for 10 weeks.

However, the Argentine’s recovery seems to have been going well and he is already on the verge of making his Barcelona debut, Spanish outlet Sport reported.

According to the report, Barca is looking at the possibility of having Aguero back on “October 17th” when the club takes on La Liga rivals Valencia.

Ahead of his possible Barcelona debut, Aguero is already positive about having a great working relationship with Barca boss Ronald Koeman.

“We get on well,” Aguero told RAC1 of Koeman via TribalFootball.com. “You notice he's direct and that's good for players. It's not easy to be a coach and he makes it easy by being direct and saying what he thinks, if he likes something or not, he will tell you.”

“That's preferable for a player than someone quiet who you can't read,” he continued.

Amid Lionel Messi’s transfer saga in the summer, many believed that Aguero could be the key to make the six-time Ballon d’Or winner stay.

In fact, even Barcelona president Joan Laporta was confident that the pair’s friendship will end all the drama about Messi’s looming exit. However, financial woes still saw the club losing its best player in the end.
