The Orange Blossom Classic Battle of the Bands between Flordia A&M's Marching 100 and Jackson State's Sonic Boom of the South will be streamed live on HBCU+, per a statement obtained by HBCU Pulse. The event coincides with other festivities during the weekend that will also be streamed on the platform, including the GMCVB Commissioner’s Welcome Reception and Luncheon. The game will then take place on Sunday, September 3rd in Hard Rock Stadium at 3:30 PM EST.

Jackson State and Florida A&M have built quite a rivalry over the past few years. On the football field, the Rattlers haven't won against the Tigers since the 2003 season and lost two games in 2014 and 2018 prior to Deion Sanders joining the team as coach in 2020. Both bands have also competed with each other in competitive half-time performances and zero and fifth-quarter battles. The Marching 100 and Sonic Boom of the South are considered to be two of the best bands in HBCU life and contenders to compete in the ESPN Band of the Year competition at the Celebration Bowl in December.

Their performance in this game and during the weekend will certainly kick off a start to a successful season.
