By little surprise to most, Bayern Munich has officially won their ninth-straight Bundesliga title. After Leipzig lost 3-2 to Dortmund, Bayern clinched their lone piece of hardware for the term.

The Bavarians are set for a clash with rivals Borussia Monchengladbach later this morning but ultimately, the match doesn't matter at this point for Hansi Flick's side.

Leipzig looked to be a potential contender for the Bundesliga earlier in the season, but Bayern eventually pulled away. Unfortunately, they were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarterfinals stages by PSG, who the Germans defeated in the final last August in Portugal. Robert Lewandowski's absence in the last eight was a huge blow that played a crucial part in their early exit.

The Pole himself is chasing history as he's just four goals off Gerd Muller's single-season record of 40 Bundesliga strikes, while also leading the race for Europe's golden boot.

Bayern will have a much different look in their dugout next season, however, with Flick leaving this summer in pursuit of the Germany job. Leipzig gaffer Julian Nagelsmann is set to take over at the Allianz Arena.

Congratulations to Bayern for another fantastic campaign and although it won't end in European glory again, their dominance of the Bundesliga is crystal clear.
