The Chicago Bears have added a fresh face to their receiving room. Chicago has traded for New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

The Bears sent the Patriots a 2024 seventh-round pick in return for the former first-round pick.

Since entering the NFL in 2019, Harry has struggled to find his footing. In 33 career games, he has recorded 57 receptions, four touchdowns, and 598 receiving yards on 103 total targets.

When he was drafted with the 32nd overall pick, the Patriots thought they were adding a new star receiver. During his three seasons at Arizona State, N'Keal Harry was a threat in the passing game. He caught 213 passes for 2,889 yards and 22 receiving touchdowns while appearing in 35 total games.

The Bears will hope that they can get at least some sort of production out of N”Keal Harry. With a receiving room that is currently one of the weakest in the league, Harry will have a chance to succeed from day one. Outside of Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle, the receiving options are very much unproven. Tight end Cole Kmet could currently be viewed as the team's second best reciving option.

The Bears are clearly all in on quarterback Justin Fields. Adding another big receiver to their offense could help give him the best chance to succeed. At 6-4, N'Keal Harry will bring size that could help this team in the red zone.

Given a fresh start in Chicago, Harry could finally live up to his potential. If all goes to plan, the Bears will have added a top receiver for basically nothing.
