The Bears seem to be optimistic but cautious in their preparation for Week 13. According to ESPN Chicago Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson, Justin Fields is practicing Wednesday. However, Dickerson also reported that Andy Dalton will get the starter reps in Wednesday's practice. This information is per Matt Nagy, a giant Bears question mark himself.

Fields did not play in the Bears Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions. He was ruled out early that week due to a rib injury that he suffered in their Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Dalton entered that game in his absence, and also led the Bears to their Thanksgiving victory.

The Bears seem to be airing on the side of caution with Fields, since his injury turned out to be multiple small rib fractures.

For now, Fields is questionable for Chicago's Week 13 matchup against the Cardinals. The former Ohio State quarterback was the eleventh overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. That being said, the Bears definitely want to see him return to the field to capitalize on their investment and see more of his abilities.

Fields has played in ten games so far this season. He has thrown for 1,361 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. The Bears rookie has also recorded eight interceptions. It is crucial for Fields to get healthy and get back on the game day field in order to prove his abilities in the NFL in the final stretch of the season.
