The Chicago Bears Friday announced that 6-time Pro Bowl linebacker Khalil Mack was placed on season ending injured reserve with a foot injury. Sadly, that's not the only bad news for Bears fans.

As reported by ESPN NFL Nation Chicago Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson, defensive lineman Akiem Hicks will also be out Sunday vs the Ravens.

Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson is also listed as doubtful and safety Eddie Jackson is questionable. Earlier on Friday, the Bears also placed veteran linebacker Danny Trevathan on season ending IR. This puts head coach Matt Nagy in a really tough spot as they face an angry Baltimore Ravens team Sunday.

Baltimore is coming off an embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins and had a couple extra days to prepare for this game, having played the Thursday night game in Week 10. The Ravens got the opposite news Friday, as they got healthier.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receivers Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman all returned to practice Friday.

The rash of injuries to the Bears defense forced them to look elsewhere for help. They officially signed veteran linebacker Bruce Irvin earlier Friday. They also activated Cassius Marsh to the 53-man roster.

Without Hicks in the middle of the defense, it is going to be difficult to slow down the Ravens rushing attack. John Harbaugh is typically one of better coaches coming off a loss. There are a lot of reasons to expect this weekend's game to get ugly. The Bears season potentially will follow suit.
