Chicago Bears second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is on the mend from a shoulder injury that already kept him out of action during last Sunday's 23-16 win over the Detroit Lions.

Although he has continued to be limited in his participation in practice so far this week, it hasn't drawn any level of high concern from Trubisky about it becoming a lingering issue in the second half of the season, according to Chris Emma of 670 The Score.

Clutch Points has also previously noted that Trubisky will miss this week's game against the New York Giants.

Trubisky has plenty of confidence that the team will manage the situation properly and that any lingering issues from this will be handled properly in the appropriate manner. At the same time, there is still not much clarity as to how much longer he will have to continue to be sidelined this season.

The fact that he was able to practice in a limited manner on Thursday is an encouraging sign that it isn't a serious ailment that could put his availability for the rest of the season in jeopardy. It is something that will force him to miss another game, but he may be back in the fold in time for the Bears' Week 14 primetime matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Chicago will likely continue to take the precautionary approach for the rest of this week.

The team is more than comfortable to roll with backup Chase Daniels once again. Daniels performed well enough with his arm by completing 27-of-37 passes for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns while avoiding committing any turnovers against the Lions.
