Sir Ben Kingsley's The Mandarin a.k.a. Trevor Slattery is finally returning to the MCU in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
It's been quite some time since we've seen Ben Kingsley's The Mandarin in the MCU. Kingsley first appeared in Iron Man 3 opposite Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron man and fans were quite disappointed when they found out that he wasn't the real Mandarin. The last time we saw him was in the Marvel-One Shot: All Hail the King and there hasn't been much mention of him ever since.
Kingsley spoke to Entertainment Tonight and confirmed that he will be appearing in the upcoming movie after being spotted at the red carpet premiere earlier this week.
“As you just saw, I was talking to Kevin Feige,” Kingsley said to ET. “And thanks to Kevin and Robert Downey Jr. and Drew Pearce and Shane Black, I am in this movie and I'm a member of the Marvel family, because their welcome on Iron Man 3 was so astonishing and generous that I'm still with Marvel again. And I'm delighted to be here!” he added.
In other Shang-Chi news, the first reactions to the film have spread across Twitter and fans are absolutely loving it. Check them out here.
