Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow took one on the chin Sunday, and owned up to his poor performance in the loss vs the Cleveland Browns.

Geoff Hobson, the senior writer for Bengals.com, tweeted out Burrow's response to his efforts today. Burrow referenced his interception that was taken 99 yards to the house.

It was the opening drive for Joe Burrow and the Bengals. They had moved methodically down the field and faced a 3rd and goal at the Cleveland 3 yard line. Burrow then made an errant throw behind his rookie receiver, Ja'Marr Chase. Browns DB Denzel Ward picked it off and took it 99 yards for a Browns touchdown.

It was a game-changing play, despite being just the opening possession.

From there, Browns running back Nick Chubb took over. He ran for a game-high 137 yards on only 14 carries. He also scored two touchdowns as the Browns drubbed the Bengals, 41-16.

Coming out of halftime, the Bengals trailed by a couple scores. Following a Nick Chubb 70 yard TD run, Burrow then threw his 2nd interception of the game. Once again, he was targeting Chase.

Burrow finished the game 28-40 for 282 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He was also sacked five times.

Two weeks ago, coming off a blowout win against the Baltimore Ravens, the Bengals were the talk of the NFL. They were sitting atop the AFC at the time.

Following their 2nd straight loss, the Bengals find themselves in last place in their own division at 5-4. Burrow and the Bengals will look to get back on track next week at the Las Vegas Raiders.
