The Cincinnati Bengals are about to get an injection of talent. John Ross headlines a number of players returning from injury to rejoin the lineup.

According to Paul Dehner Jr., five players will be making a return to Zac Taylor's squad and give the Bengals a much-needed boost.

John Ross is a young wide receiver who is slowly building his spot in the Cincinnati rotation. After getting a number of reps in 2017, he started 10 of the 13 games he played in 2018. He averaged 10 yards per reception, catching 21 of the 58 throws targeted to him. He is recovering from a hamstring injury but should be able to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.

Drew Sample is a rookie who faces notable expectations. The Washington product averaged 10 receiving yards in his four years as a Washington Husky. His return to the rotation should provide a boost to the team's level of offensive prowess.

Dre Kirkpatrick is a corner who has established himself in the Cincinnati lineup since 2013. He has spent his entire career with the Bengals, notching an impressive 230 solo tackles and 10 interceptions in a successful seven-year career. Taylor will be counting on him for the same high quality of defense he has provided over the years.

KeiVarae Russell is also a player who has played exclusively with the Bengals. He hasn't started a lot of games for Cincinnati, but his numbers are increasingly getting better. He got nine solo tackles, one interception, and one pass defense last season.

Taylor will need these players if he hopes to improve the team's record in a cutthroat AFC North. With the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens looking especially dangerous, he will need all the talent he can get.
