The Cincinnati Bengals surprised everybody in Week 1 with their narrow loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Their loss in Week 2 wasn't as close, but they got a consolation prize with John Ross scoring another deep touchdown that went for 66 yards:

Last Sunday, in Zac Taylor's offensive system, Ross looked like a new and improved version of himself. The speedy wideout was able to tally seven receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns in Cincinnati's 21-20 loss to the Seahawks.

For the second consecutive week, Andy Dalton again found out that if he can get the ball in Ross' hands, it can turn into a touchdown. The veteran quarterback was able to deliver a pass to the speedy wideout in between a few defenders and Ross did the rest.

The third-year wideout ended up with 112 yards on four catches and a score. Considering he had zero receptions for zero yards in his rookie season, that seems pretty good. Unfortunately, the Bengals suffered a 41-17 loss to drop to 0-2.

The Bengals selected Ross with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. During the draft process, Ross was considered to be one of the best receivers in the draft due to his speed.

Despite his speed, the Washington product struggled to get acclimated to the NFL in his first two seasons. Therefore, fans and the media alike began to label him as a certified bust.

Now, with Taylor as his coach, the electric wide receiver seems to be trending in the right direction.
