The Giants have been solid as of late. They have won five of their last six games, but still are tied for third in the NL West. It is a tight race in the NL West though, with the Padres at 26-26 heading into Thursday, while the Diamondbacks and Giants are both 24-26. They will finish their series with the Pirates on Thursday. The Giants will send Erik Miller to the mound. He is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA on the year. Meanwhile, the Mets are 21-28 on the year, and sitting in fourth in the NL East. They have lost five of their last six games, including being swept by the Guardians.

Christian Scott has been good for the Mets this year but is not getting enough run support this year. This will not change in this one.
