It is the final game of an NL East series as the New York Mets face the Philadelphia Phillies. It is time to continue our MLB odds series with a Mets-Phillies prediction and pick.
In game one of the series, it was a ten-inning affair. The Phillies took the 1-0 lead, but the Mets would score two in the second and a run in the third to take the lead. Going into the top of the ninth the Mets led 4-2. Bryson Stott homered to make it a one-run game, and then Alex Bohm was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the game. Stott would hit a sacrifice fly in the tenth inning and the Phillies would win 5-4. Game two saw domination from the Phillies. Aaron Nola went all nine innings, giving up just four hits and striking out eight. The Phillies would go on to win the game 4-0.
The two will play again on Wednesday. IT will be Joey Lucchesi on the mound for the Mets. He will be making his first start of the season in this one on Wednesday. It will be Ranger Suarez on the mound for the Phillies on Wednesday. He is 7-0 with a 1.50 ERA and a .72 WHIP. Last time out, he allowed no runs and just three hits in seven innings of work. In his last 37 innings, over five starts, he has allowed just four runs.

Meanwhile, Francisco Lindor has been solid this year. He is hitting .204 on the year but with a .272 on-base percentage. Lindor has eight doubles while also having seven home runs. The Phillies are the better team in this series. The Mets are struggling to score heavily. Further, Jose Quintana has not been great this year for the Mets. Meanwhile, Taijuan Walker has gotten better with each start for the Phillies. This has all the makings of another Phillies win with a dominating pitching performance.
