With September right around the corner, the real playoff pushes in MLB are set to fire up even more. With that, the World Series odds are constantly swinging. Just a few weeks back, teams like the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves looked like lost causes. Now, both would be in the playoffs if the season ended on Thursday.
Here's a look at the updated World Series odds, via betonline.ag.
Los Angeles Dodgers (+350)
Houston Astros (+575)
Chicago White Sox (+600)
San Francisco Giants (+750)
Milwaukee Brewers (+800)
Tampa Bay Rays (+850)
New York Yankees (+1400)

Atlanta Braves (+2000)
San Diego Padres (+2000)
Oakland Athletics (+2200)
The biggest risers are the Yankees and Braves who both looked all but lost before the MLB Trade Deadline. New York and Atlanta still have long World Series odds but far better than what they were at the end of July. New York has climbed into the first wildcard spot in the American League while the Braves currently lead the fizzled out National League East.
The Dodgers remain the favorites at (+350) despite not even leading their own division. The Giants still can't get much respect, even though they have the best record in all of baseball at 78-43. As of now, the Dodgers would have to play in a wildcard game just to get into the playoffs yet, they are favored to win it all.
Others to keep tabs on include the Brewers and White Sox, who quietly keep going about their business while winning early and often. For some dark horse World Series odds to jump on, there may not be two better sleeper picks than Chicago (AL) and Milwaukee.
