The Astros and Braves meet for Game 5 with Atlanta holding a commanding 3-1 lead over the Astros after a win Saturday night in Game 4. The Braves are now one win away from their first World Series title since 1995, which is the only WS win for the franchise since moving to Atlanta in the late 1960s. The Astros will look to avoid elimination and get the series back to Houston for Game 6 and Game 7. Game 5 is sure to be a thriller on Sunday night as each side has everything on the line. The Braves have again declined to name a starting pitcher ahead of Sunday's contest, while the Astros will throw ace Framber Valdez with their season hanging by a thread.

Why the Astros can win World Series Game 5
Elimination is sometimes the most effective motivator. Win or go home is the choice the Astros face on Sunday night in Atlanta. So far, the Houston bats haven't made the trip east, as they have scored just two runs in 18 innings in Game 3 and Game 4. The Braves used their bullpen for 13 of those innings, and so far the Astros don't have an answer.
Houston will get another long look at the Atlanta pen in Game 5, as it is slated to be another bullpen game for the home team on Sunday. The Astros lineup is bound to wake up, but the Braves have now held them down three of the four games in the series so far, so it may be too late if the Houston bats stay cold for much longer. Houston can win Game 5 if they can wake up their bats somehow, but all the of the momentum is with the Braves right now.
Why the Braves can win World Series Game 5
The Braves moved to 7-0 at home this postseason with their win Saturday in Game 4, and seemingly nothing can go wrong for Atlanta at Truist Park of late. It will be another bullpen game for the Braves in Game 5, but the Astros has barely touched Atlanta's pen in the series. The offense hasn't been scalding for the Braves, but they have done enough to win, as evidenced by back-to-back home runs by Dansby Swanson and Jorge Soler to give Atlanta the lead in the bottom of the 7th in Game 4.
Atlanta seems to come up with the right hit in the right spot going back to their walkoff wins over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 and Game 2 of the NLCS. The Braves might not having a starting pitcher for Game 5, but they have all of the momentum and a hot bullpen, something they will rely on again in Game 5.
