The NBA continues on Wednesday night as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Bucks-Cavaliers prediction and pick.

The Milwaukee Bucks have won three straight and are coming off a win over the Sacramento Kings 133-127. The Bucks are 30-19 on the season which is good for fourth in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers are just a half-game behind the Bucks in the standings at 29-19 on the season. They are coming off a close win over the New York Knicks 95-93. If the Cavs beat the Bucks tonight, they will jump them to fourth place in the East.

Why The Bucks Could Cover The Spread

Giannis Antetokounmpo missed Sunday's game against the Kings with a knee injury. He is currently listed as questionable for the game against the Cavs but is expected to play. The Bucks will clearly have a better chance at covering the spread with the former MVP in the starting five. If Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton are both hot, then they put the Bucks in a position to be successful every night. Jrue Holiday can't be forgotten as well, as he is coming off a 26-point outing against the Kings. The Bucks need all three of their stars to be on point tonight, the Cavaliers are surging and can swoop them in the standings if they aren't careful.

These two teams square off for the third time this season. The last time they met the Cavs won 119-90 but the Bucks were without their big three. It's been a rough stretch for the Bucks but they seem to have gotten back on track. Even though they are 5-5 in their last 10 games, they have won three straight and they look unstoppable right now. The Buck are 7-2 against the division and are 13-11 on the road this season.

Why The Cavaliers Could Cover The Spread

The Cavaliers continue to be one of the biggest surprises of the NBA, especially in the East. No one predicted the Cavs to be in a position where they could be fourth in the conference at any point in the season. Darius Garland is playing like an all-star this year but it's the depth of the team that is the reason for their success. The Cavs utilize a bunch of big men and they all contribute in different ways. Jarrett Allen, Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love, and Evan Mobley are all playing very well this season averaging at least 13 points per game each. Allen is currently listed as questionable and likely won't play against the Bucks unless a sudden change.

If the Cavs want to cover this spread, they must protect the paint and not let Antetokounmpo take over. That might be one of the toughest assignments in all of the NBA as it usually doesn't matter who defends him, he likely will get to the basket regardless. On the offensive end, garland needs to continue his hot run and they need to see others like Isaac Okoro and Dean Wade to step up offensively to give them an added boost. Cleveland is 14-9 at home this season and are 4-2 in the Central Division.

Final Bucks-Cavaliers Prediction & Pick

This isn't an easy pick because both teams are very good this season. Because Allen is out for the Cavs, I think that hurts their defense tremendously. Take the Bucks on the road as they seem to be in a better position to cover this spread.

Final Bucks-Cavaliers Prediction & Pick: Bucks -4 (-110)
