The Orlando Magic will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday evening. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Magic-Lakers prediction and pick.

The Magic and Lakers will play on Sunday night as the Lakers continue to try to find a rhythm this season. The return of LeBron James has to no surprise elevated Los Angeles, who has now won four of their last six games despite Anthony Davis being a bit banged up. Davis is questionable for Sunday's matchup after missing Friday's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder with knee soreness. James, Davis and Russell Westbrook are still searching for the perfect mix, as the Lakers are just 14-13 through 27 games this season. The Lakers come in as big home favorites over the Magic on Sunday.

Here is how FanDuel set the Magic-Lakers odds for this NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Magic-Lakers Odds

Los Angeles Lakers -10.5 (-110)

Why The Magic Could Cover The Spread

Article Continues Below

Orlando is just 5-22 this season and lost nine of their last 10 games. The Magic have one of the youngest rosters in the NBA and it has shown this season. They have really struggled to win, and have struggled to even stay close many nights as well. Orlando's -10.4 point differential is the worst in the NBA, and it doesn't figure to get better any time soon with little help on the way. The Magic might be able to pull off a backdoor cover with a double-digit line, but it seems risky to bet on Orlando to do much of anything besides lose right now. Orlando is just 3-14 on the road this season and 11-15 against the spread. The Magic will be at a rest disadvantage in this one after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. They did not have to travel though, at least.

Why The Lakers Could Cover The Spread

Los Angeles should be able to take care of the Magic in this spot on Sunday night. The Lakers may get Anthony Davis back, which would just add insult to injury in terms of the talent disparity in this one. James and the Lakers are eager to hit a hot streak and move up the standings, and this is a prime game to pick up an easy win. LA is the No. 6 seed in the West entering play on Sunday, and just two games back of the fourth place Memphis Grizzlies. James should be able to run the show with little resistance in this one, as the Magic are allowing 112 points per game to opponents, the second worst number in the East. The Lakers should be a in good spot to cover and win in this one as big favorites over a bad Magic team.

The Lakers are 9-7 at home this season and 10-17 against the spread overall. They should be able to improve on both of those records Sunday.

Final Magic-Lakers Prediction & Pick

Take the Lakers to cover and win over the Magic on Sunday. The spread is large, but LA should be fine as the Magic are on a back-to-back after losing to the Clippers on Saturday. James and Westbrook alone should be too much for Orlando, and Davis may wind up returning to the lineup as well. Don't overthink this one.

Final Magic-Lakers prediction & pick: Lakers -10.5 (-110)
