The Pacers and Celtics are set to play on Monday night as each team is still looking to find themselves nearly halfway into the regular season. Boston sits at 19-21, with plenty of time for a playoff push if they can right the ship. Indiana sits at 15-25 however, and is running out of time in regards to turning their season around. Desperate times have called for desperate measures, as Lance Stephenson has reemerged as a rotation option for the Pacers after being out of the league since 2019.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread
The Pacers will be missing Caris LeVert, TJ Warren, TJ McConnell and others for this one while Malcolm Brogdon is questionable. Indiana is just 3-15 on the road this season as they continue to struggle. The Pacers have the third worst record in the East heading into play on Monday, but could still be candidates for a cover vs. an underwhelming Celtics team. Indiana is 3-7 in their last ten games and 8-20 overall vs. the Eastern Conference on the season. The Pacers won their last game over the Utah Jazz behind a 42-point outing by Domantas Sabonis.
Indiana vs. the spread
The Pacers are 20-19-1 against the spread this season as we near the halfway point, and 5-5 vs. the line across their past ten games. Indiana is 12-6 vs. the line as an underdog, and 7-4 as an away dog, so this could be an appealing spot to bet the Pacers with the points.
Why The Celtics Could Cover The Spread
Boston has won three of their last five as they continue to try to find themselves under first-year head coach Ime Udoka. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both have solid individual statistics but the Celtics offense overall has struggled. The Celtics are just 4-6 in their last ten games and sit as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference heading into play on Monday. The Celtics are laying quite a few points in this one, so a cover might be tough as the Pacers are more talented than their record indicates. The Celtics are the healthier team in this matchup with just two players on their entire roster listed on the injury report.
Boston vs. the spread
The Celtics are 19-19-2 against the spread overall this season, and 4-6 vs. the line in their last ten games. Boston is 12-13 overall vs. the spread as favorites this season and 7-10 as home favorites. This could be a tough cover on Monday night vs. a Pacers team that has plenty of talent despite their poor record and performance to this point.
Final Pacers-Celtics Prediction and Pick
This is a tough one as Brogdon being questionable is a rather big deal. He is the Pacers' lead ball handler when healthy and they are already down their backup point guard in McConnell. If Brogdon plays, take the Pacers and the points, but if he's out, ride with the Celtics to win and cover.
